Carta: Poetry & Philosophy is designed with privacy as a foundational principle. In accordance with Apple’s App Store privacy nutrition label, Data Not Collected: Carta does not collect, track, or share any personal data from its users.
Overview
Carta is designed to work without requiring an account. Saved cards and custom collections are stored locally on your device using Apple SwiftData. Optional account features may allow information to be synchronized through Supabase.
Information you provide
If you create an optional account, Carta may process the email address and authentication information needed to provide that account. Carta may also process saved cards and collection information when cloud synchronization is enabled.
Local app data
Saved cards, custom collections, preferences, and cached reading content may be stored on your device. Removing the app may remove locally stored information unless it has been synchronized to an account or backed up by the operating system.
Photos and sharing
Carta requests permission to add images to your Photos library only when you choose to save an exported quote card. The app does not need access to browse your existing photo library for this feature.
Purchases
Optional theme purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Carta does not receive or store your payment card details. Apple may provide transaction information needed to verify and restore purchases.
Service providers
- Supabase may provide authentication, database, and synchronization services.
- Apple provides App Store distribution, StoreKit purchases, and operating system services.
Data retention and deletion
Local app data remains on your device until it is deleted in the app or the app is removed. If account synchronization is offered, you may request deletion of associated account data by contacting support.
Children
Carta is not directed toward children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as Carta changes. The latest version and revision date will remain available on this page.
